Non-Ford Wheels That Would Work on Rangers

Looking for different wheels for my '24 Lariat FX4. I'm leveled, and want to go a bit bigger, probably 275/65R17 or 18. I'd be tempted to pick up some Ranger Tremor wheels (+42 offset) if I can find some in good shape. Are there other manufacturers who make wheels that would work well with a Ranger? Seems Toyota and some Chevy's have the 6 x 5.5 hole pattern, but I don't know if there are other factors that need to be considered. Thoughts?

Yes bolt pattern is 6x139.7 (6x5.5)
Wheel hub must be 93.1 or bigger, you can fit hubcentric rings (Method wheels are often 106 or 108mm).

You could go 275/65R17 on 17x7.5 or 17x8 wheel as an example

Stock 17" are around 17x7.5 to 17x8.5 width.

Offset between +55 (stock look) and 0 (wheel is poking out of the fender)
I prefer +35 /+25 for a flush look with the fender.

Thanks Chuck, I appreciate the help. I've found that website useful in the past. What I'd really love to see is a way to put in parameters, like diameter, width, 6x139.7 bolt pattern and 93.1 bore, maybe an offset, and it will tell you what vehicles have that size wheel.

This came up because as I browse Facebook Marketplace for, say, "Ford Ranger Tremor Wheels" I get listings for Toyota TRD wheels, or Colorado wheels, and basically every other thing. I guess I could use the website you linked and look up each vehicle individually, but a database would be really handy.

If you are looking for new wheels (not used), there are plenty makes out there.

If looking for used wheels, you need some that are 6×139.7mm or 6×5.5in bolt pattern, meaning 6 factory studs on a lug circle with a diameter of 5.5 inches.

Rangers since 2019 to current and Bronco use the same pattern.

Majority of Toyota / Colorado / Bronco wheels would fit on a Ranger in 17 & 18.

F150 wheels do not fit because of different bolt pattern. The 6 lugs pattern is not the same. You would not be able to even fit in the hub.

I appreciate the help everybody. To be clear, I was looking for a way to easily know if a different vehicle's wheels would fit my truck.

One helpful thing I found was here: Wheel Fitment Guides | Hardrock Offroad where you can pick the vehicle and see what size wheels have been used over several generations. It's not 100% complete, as I noticed the 5th gen Ranger Tremor wheels are not listed under Gen5 but are under Gen4. Regardless, pretty handy.

You have to be careful looking those up. When I Googled it, some sites say it's 5 lugs, some say 6, some even said 8 lugs on a Ranger.

And according to Stage 3 Motorsports:

"The 2024 Ranger uses a 6x139.7 mm (6x5.5") bolt pattern, opening up massive aftermarket wheel compatibility (same pattern as Tacoma/4Runner). Factory wheels span 17" steel (XL) to 20" alloys (Lariat). A mild lift and proper offsets make 33s achievable; 17" wheels are preferred for sidewall and strength off-road."

But if you look deeper in the specs, Ranger has 93.1mm bore whereas Tacoma has a 106.1mm bore.

" Toyota Tacoma manufactured from 2016 onwards have a bolt pattern of 6×5.5 (6×139.7mm), a center bore of 4.18 inches (106.1 mm)."

After looking at that listing and the pictures, I'm suspecting the seller has a misprint stating 42mm backspace. With the one picture of the inside of the wheel, near the top, the casting while not completely clear to me, appears to read "55."

Side note: These wheel spacers with extended lug nuts would produce nearly 10mm of reduced backspacing.

I was very curious about that +42 offset Ford rim.
I just heard of a 42+ offset here in this thread.

The OP mentioned the Ranger Tremmor wheel was 42+ offset.

‘I wanted to know what that wheel looked like and googled it , found pics on eBay.

One of the listing I looked at the wheel looked very similar if not the same but said +55 Offset
+55 being the only Offset I had ever seen used on 6g Rangers.

I looked at a few others and found the listing I posted that stated +42 Offset.
The depth doesn’t look any different then the +55 offsets , being very flat faced or in some cases parts of the wheel structure (spokes) appears to be out past the outer wheel lip.

I am not sure what to think about the +42 offset, vs +55 offsets.
Is the +42 real?

If so. I suspect it’s from a 5G Ranger.
Seeing these in US EBay, and we don’t have a 6G Ranger Tremor here in the US.

55 and 42 seems to exist for the model wheel model.

Both would work

55 is the stock offset for pretty much any 6gen ranger.

13mm poke out is near OEM, little more agressive but no one would really notice.

Yea, i agree .
I was also thinking a +42 might be an ideal offset for clearing the UCA with a wider tire maybe a 285, where it seems 275 is about the max with a +55 on non-raptor 6G Rangers.
