Not a Raptor. Ordered end of July. First build date was 10-23, then 11-14 and it says 1-15 now. Hopefully they were being overly pessimistic with the strike since I wouldn't think 6 weeks of strike would delay something by almost 12 weeks. Of course it may have been delayed further even without the strike.

It currently says the week of 12/25/23. That should be a shut down week. If they do build that week I sure as hell don’t want the truck. Don’t ever buy one built during or right before an outage. Workers do not care and are pissed they are working at that time. The quality is horrible. And I work for Ford in skilled trades so I’ve seen it first hand.

The strike isn’t technically over. They haven’t ratified or voted on it. Plus Ford has to re-hire for all the layoffs, especially engine and axle plants. Plus all the third party suppliers that had lay offs have to rehire. It will still be a while before the gears starts turning again full steam.

Though the new terms have yet to be ratified, the picket lines have ended and the workers have already gone back to work. UAW did this to put pressure on GM and Stellantis. They wanted those 2 to see Ford going into full production to make them feel like their missing out by not making a deal.

I do think it will be slow going until they rehire everyone they layed off.

Order confirmed early July. Never received a build date, and the last time I got a “Ford Promise 45 day update” was 2 and a half months ago.

Stock order as well but not scheduled. I am resignied to conclude that I might get it in March. I will likely look at the Tacoma while waiting for what will end up being a 2 year plus design by the time it arrives.. The strike has made my attitude admiringly worse.

[/QU I hope Covert is as good as their name still. Duke Covert was a stand up guy. My parents bought many a Buick from him over the years.
