Looking at the battery and at the under hood distribution center. I see two unused studs on the battery. The 3 amp fuse appears to have it own little power feed, it looks like there is a solid bar connecting the 4 stud terminals. On the distribution box there is a nice heavy stud in the center. I need 40 amps, where did you tap yours?

the canadian sites have more info. the north American body builder guides. but the ranger also part of fords globalization plans. 1 model world wide, minus some trims and rhd vs lhd. I got the aussie arb dual battery kit in my 25 canadian(Michigan made) xlt 2.3l

https://www.fordpro.ca/en-ca/upfit/publications/

and the https://www.fordparts.ca site has better parts diagrams/pictures, and part numbers and is way easier to use in general then the USA site.

Great information, downloaded and saved. Now I need to decide how to protect the #10 wire from short circuit in a clean, neat way. The ARB has an inline blade fuse but it is located near the compressor which protects the entire run from overload but leaves about 5 feet unprotected from short circuit.
In my Jeep I installed a 60 amp Blue Seas circuit breaker next to the battery and ran from that. Also makes for a nice way to switch the circuit off when not in use. Not many mounting options in the Ranger for a circuit breaker though. May use a MIDI fuse. The MIDI fuse could be bolted right to the battery stud. Or just another inline maxi blade fuse. MRBF would be nice but no room under the cover.

How did you protect yours? My compressor is under the hood so short enough run for #10 copper wire.

Right now I have my cap dome lights, and the arb battery charger on the low/moderate current side, and my remote mount booster cables on the high current side of the battery distribution block. I do not have the conpressor, especially not the under hood, because thats where my second battery is. But I will be getting the arb bed mount twin hopefully with my tax return the spring.

the 2022 aussie instructions for the dual battery kit(the kit came with updated 2025 instructions in black and white, so I used both the 22 and the 25 instructions. lol), put it on the low to moderate draw post. and the ranger specific compressor harness arb put on one the middle posts, but dont think it should, I think it should be on the high current side. the redarc dc-dc charger has a 40amp midi on the start battery input for the charger, and a 40amp midi on the aux battery output at the aux battery!

the fuse, is the BMS fuse.

Nice! You've got a lot going on there! I was thinking about an inline MIDI for my compressor but today I decided to just use another inline 40 amp blade fuse. Got the ARB single mounted today and this week I'll get the plumbing and electrical done. No second battery for me but if I ever change my mind I'll have to move the ARB.

I am trying not to sound rude. But all you had to do was read my signature, or comment # 6. or go to my profile and see the thread I made. https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/threads/arb-dual-battery-kit.21233/

You HAVE to order the kit from Australia, if your an American, it will have too high of a carrot man tax... So much so, many shippers/sellers are not even shipping to the states. I mean tarrif, that you will have to pay carrot man. If Canadian, we only have to pay normal customs.

As a Canadian we have more freedoms then you at the moment.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃
These days you guys aint got much "freedom" between HOA's literally telling you what you can and can not do with the property you purchased and own..... Carrot Man has made thr US the laughing stock of the world. If you look pay attention to world news.... What was once respect for the US, the convicted fellon has made you guys the laughing stock. The dementia carrot is flipping out about shit HE SIGNED for during his first term, trade agreements that were the best thing since sliced bread, that he made, he is now flipping out over! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Trump IS THE SOLE REASON why the US lost the war in Iraq and surrendered billions of dollars worth of equipment to the taliban, and they are now considered one of the top equipped militaries in the world.... Thanks to trump.. sookie baby was losing the race, so he ordered the surrender of assests to happen the other old man took office.

Anyways, the info you need is my posts. If you want to talk about the battery kit, comment over on my thread I linked above, and Ill be glad to help, with any questions, see if I can get more pictures, etc
