If i buy off Ford Performance Parts and have it dealer installed at purchase from ford it is $112. Maybe buy the tune through Ford and automatically pay for dealer install?

my dealer wanted 37?.00 and could be more if there was problems.. did it myself.. very easy.. youtube videos and read the yellow sheet that comes with the procal did order from tires pro ? was cheaper than for with discounts.. go figure enjoy the tune..

I'm having mine installed Friday. My local dealer charges $145, and I got another quote from another dealer for $200. $500 is insane. It's a 30 minute job.

when you buy it from the Ford site, you can add the install, its supposed to be 1 hr at $112-$140 depending on your area of course.

try that option?

Unless something goes wrong or the dealer doesnt know how to do it, it will take like 20 minutes max, as others have said here.

all of use would and can do it ourselves, but unless you are an ASE certified mechanic you lose out on that warranty coverage.

I bought it off Ford's website and paid $112 for the local dealer to install.
$500 is an insane scam (oh you're in Commiefornia, most likely scenario).

yep it is a licensed certification with a registration number.

What's the ford site say the install cost is on the website? My dealer performed the install without asking for anything over the $112 quote on their site.

Purchased mine from Ford with the $112 install, tried to make an appointment for drop off, service writer stated we can pick it up and drop it off when finished.
Dealership Picked it up on Monday morning at 8:30 AM and delivered it back on Wednesday afternoon.
Can't beat that for $112.

I checked with a Ford source and the dealer allowance is 3 hours for the job so even if it takes 10 minutes they get 3 hours pay. I was charged $500. I put that into my residual, therfore literally costing me nothing, as I have only a 3 year lease on my 26 Lariat. Welcome to union labour! I am also quite certain though please verify on your own dime, that if not installed by Ford Tech then your warranty is void should problem arise from aftermarket install.
