So, I down loaded an update that was available to my procal device. I went to upload it and it failed. So, ok I tried again and still failed. I thought, fine I won't update, but alas, issues.

I now can't start the truck and it is telling me get service. I tried to restore ECU from the procal device, but now it is telling me that incorrect VIN and won't let me do anything. I imagine I can get this fixed by contacting their tech line, but it is Friday and they are closed until Monday.

Any ideas on what I can do? If anyone has some idea, please let me know. Not sure, but I am thinking that maybe I can hook up ForScan and see if I can figure something out there.

Have you tried plugging you ProCal back into your truck and downloading the stock setting back in to your truck. Also did you have a battery charger on your truck. This is a must. If voltage drops to around 11.6 it will mess everything up.

The charger needs to be at least 15 amps.

crapblaster is correct. No 1 amp charger will keep up with the drawn that installing the tune on to your truck might take. My mechanic says he’s not sure what might happen if it drops below the 11.6v, but it won’t be good. Call FP. Following the instructions closely is important and a must.

I will contact FP. I can't download or upload anything since it says different car or something like that. And I had it on a battery tender, but alas, we shall see Monday.

FP is saying that I need to take it to the dealer for them to flash the PCM with the as built file. I think I would be able to do this with Forscan, but I need the PCM Strategy code. I can't seem to find that anywhere in the As Built file I downloaded from Ford service's site.

I think I need to tow it to the dealer to get it reflashed. Not sure what else to do.

Does anyone have a ranger Raptor PCM strategy code or if you tell me what one is, I can search teh as built doc to find that string and find mine.

I’m no mechanic or expert on this. But don’t you think you’ve done enough figuring out. Might be best to seek an expert at a Ford dealership. Hopefully they won’t have to manually install the 200 + lines of code that controls just about everything on your truck. Good luck.

It's been three months since the last update on this thread. What was the resolution?
