A minor suggestion:

It would be nice if, in the documentation, you include the specifications of all the hardware used.

That's good information to have that's normally a pain to get. It's almost like manufacturers go out of their way to use nuts and bolts that aren't on my chain of thread checker things, and the hardware store display doesn't always have what you're trying to match, either.
This one will be super easy. All of the provided bolts will be M6. We'll only have a few different fasteners, but the platform will ship fully assembled. There will be four M6x20mm button head flange bolts that will be in the hardware pack. The remaining mounting hardware will be reused from the seat, which I thought worked out to be pretty cool. The instructions will definitely mention this. Here's an example of our instructions for the Bed MOLLE Panels for reference - https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0...1021_1022_-_Bed_MOLLE_Panels.pdf?v=1751899817

I LOVE this entire thread! One pretty silly recommendation - in your videos you should either add some actual verbal commentary or kill the stupid repeating hard rock guitar loop, it is pure distraction and makes your videos look juvenile. I unmute them to see if you are saying something, then I have to re-mute to kill the audio! Grrrr.

The rear wall at the sub needs extra room behind it so an owner can add heavy butyl sound insulation to kill vibrations which will RATTLE any bags or their contents. If you don’t leave enough room, then he would have to add it on the front surface, which would destroy its usefulness. Or just ship these with that insulation already installed! Have you tested the sound quality to see if it is acceptable with a full sheet metal enclosure? I personally don’t care much about bass, but many owners do.

Finally, you may have answered this already, if I want to permanently retain the factory rear plastic wall - will the floor go in and out without disturbing it or will it slide under it? That is important to me, I would prefer to be able to buy the floor only, then upgrade later if finances allow.

Thanks once more…

Thanks, John. I appreciate your continued replies here.

As for the music, we can't please everyone. If we don't put music, we get negative comments. If we do put music, some people prefer different music or no music at all. ? At least I'm not picking K-Pop songs! ?

To be honest, I haven't had the sub back in after building this one. I have been wide open producing the two we committed to with the commercial client, and those will not have subs, so I have kept the truck configured as theirs are. We will definitely address any and all issues that may arise with the sub. Nothing to worry about there.

We do not remove anything from the back wall. There isn't a plastic piece to it, or at least there wasn't in mine, unless you're referring to the plastic right below the window. If so, nothing to worry about there either. We tuck perfectly below that plastic. I didn't want to remove anything you had to put back in for the seats; to make the quick-change process quicker.

When I transport kennels back there I just turn the bass way down, so the sub isn't doing much.

Alright, the day has finally come! I have pricing ready for this system:
  • Platform - $1200
  • Back Wall - $300
This is definitely an introductory price and may go up in the future if we're not profitable at this number. We need to sell decent volume and maintain a certain batch size to turn an acceptable margin.

These prices include textured black powder coat on the steel components and the aluminum components will all be Mil-Spec coated (polyurea bed liner - the good stuff).

As you can see, we pride ourselves in delivering superior products at value pricing. If you compare this product to other similar products on the market, and account for the added expense of our materials and the machines needed to produce them, you'll understand why this price is a stretch for us. I would much rather sell a lot of these at a low price, make great relationships with customers and sell them additional products at similar value, than make all of our money off of the first and only transaction. It's a long play, but this has worked well for us in the past.

I am working on the product pages today and tomorrow and hope to have these live before the weekend.

We will offer a raw option as well, but I don't have costing on that option just yet. We're spraying the initial batch now and will calculate material usage from there.

I think that's a pretty darn good price.

I’m interested in this product, but can you share examples of how you tie down gear to your system?
Perhaps I missed it along the way as I have been following this thread.
Checked your website to look at the JT version, but didn’t really see any information there either.
Thanks!

Thanks. I think we can make that work. I like to charge what the product should cost, not what we could get for it. Helps me sleep at night. ?
I know before you were talking about having a panel if you had/ wanted to keep the OEM sub. Are you making a version that has the cutout for the sub?

Yes, I think the sub cutout version will be standard. The extra aluminum on the floor for the "non sub" folks doesn't provide much value. We'll throw the sub back in our truck next week and get the sub situation sorted.
