Question for when you have time. How did you mount the 3100 under the hood? It looks like it's sitting on top of the battery.
It IS just sitting on top of the battery:)

There's no need to secure it as it's not moving and not going anywhere when the hood is closed...:like:

Thanks. I'm probably too much of a worry wart to leave it completely unsecured.

Great looking truck Sid! I just ordered this step and like the way it contours with the bumpers step. People here just love to tailgate and this will add another level of protection.

Thanks Dave! This step/bumper is very high quality...it also appears not to depreciate your rear approach angel...you'll love it:like:

The LEDs were wired together in parallel and the positive tied into the top left lead (yellow/green) which are switched on/off with the marker lights. The negative tied to any ground bolt under the hood.
Question for you about those LEDs you put in the grille. You said you tied them into the marker lights, so when are those LEDs on? Also any lighting for the rear?

My LEDs are on when the marker lights are on. Lighting for the rear? You mean the back end of the truck, not yet. I thought about mounting the same LEDs in red in the rear below the tailgate but haven't decided to do that or use Putco LED strip...

Did you ever remove the other crash bar? Or were you good with just removing the front?

Ok better close ups...I used an 1" x 1" aluminum extrusion cut to 23" length and angled the ends facing back to match the bumper cut out for license...then it was a matter of spacing the 3 lights equal distance, one center two other at the end...the extrusion was sanded, degreased, primered and painted flat black...the lights are wired in parallel same as the front and then tied into the license plate lighting wire so it comes on when the whole set of marker lights are turned on...my apologies for not taking pictures step by step but once I got going, I forgot to document:facepalm:

Ya I'm not the one to worry about the whole world having my plate ID lol...I think it's stupid paranoid practice to blur your plate as it's public information Duh:)
