Had no idea FP had a team in Tailand, I figured the Baja / Finke teams were the only FP sponsored teams but apparently not.

These look to be on factory 33s and still run factory bumpers where the Baja / Finke trucks were on 35x12.5s with modified fenders and adjustable perch collars to ride height adjust and to fit the 35s. Although one of the team drivers did say the chase truck on stock 33s lapped Finke just as fast and the 35s were left on from Baja where they went with 35s for max clearance only due to how rough Baja was.

That truck is still on factory wheels too, so Id say it's the closest to a true production truck in a factory race class. The Baja / Finke trucks were absolutely production, but they did have more tire / suspension mods and race skid over the stock bumper.

Very cool.... Just happened to watch this video last night about a shop in Canada that raced a pretty much stock Bronco Raptor in the Dakar. From what I recall the modifications were just to meet the safety requirements for the race.

The Thai truck has a diesel engine. The one run at Finke (and Baja) has the 3.0 petrol engine. Same as the US trucks.

I get that, they have the wimpy engine option that is what most of Europe used to get that is similar to the gen 1 ranger raptors. Now the Euro raptors at least got a detuned 3.0L, but SE Asian countries are still stuck with turbo 4 pot diesels which are pretty low on power. Still, I had no idea they had race teams other than the ones competing at Baja and Finke.
