Ranger digital instrument cluster, apple car play/ android auto, 10 years from now

I currently drive a 2011 F-150 Raptor. I've owned three Ford Trucks, two of them for more than 10 years. I'm considering buying the 24 or 25 Ranger and plan to keep it for at least 10 years. I'm concerned about the Digital Instrument Cluster and Apple CarPlay working in 10 years. Cell phones will change a lot over the next 10 years.

It doesn't look like it is very aftermarket friendly for replacing the stereo with an aftermarket stereo in 5+ years.

Does Ford publish anything stating how they will update and maintain the software?

Any opinions on this?

I bet you are right, it will be hard to put something aftermarket in without spending 1000 to 1500 for a bunch of adapters and a head unit.

Ford runs Over The Air updates

I appreciate this but everything electronic has limitations, ie; computers, phones, even media. With obsolescence engineering, it’s hard to believe there will be compatibility a decade from now.??
