When I first looked at your supplied wiring diagrams, I thought the switch power was on a ring terminal (one wire). But after looking at it again, it might be a barrel power connector (two wire). If the latter is the case, then you need to add a ground to the relay switch input.@Alaska Steve I tried connecting the red pos wire to the fog light no:14 wire on the back of the switch, however no luck - I did notice as soon as the wire was connected it wouldn't turn the switch off of the dash cluster, so im wondering what was going on there.
If that doesn't work, turn the ignition switch to On (don't start the truck) and check the voltage on pin 14 with the fog lamp switch on; it should 12-14 VDC. If it is not a steady voltage (indicative of the CAN bus), then using the OEM switch might not work. If it is a steady voltage, it should work in this updated configuration.
