I use the bed power to charge a small sprayer for cleaning up after going to the beach, also, a small air pump, although I’ve taken to charging that in the the cabin rear floor. I’ll use the bed power to charge a battery pack that I use when camping. ⛺

my previous truck had the power on all the time in the bed so it was convenient for charging small things, phones, watches, etc.

if I had a blank Panel I’d probably run an alway on circuit to the panel with a switch. It looks easy enough to come off the battery and there are plenty of aftermarket panel connectors.

I was the same till I got a 12 volt cooler, now I can't live without it. I still can't imagine a situation where I would need 120VAC back there though.

It's just an Alpicool IR42 that I got on sale for $169. I added the 12 volt socket in the bed to plug it in and I can also run it off my 1,280wh power station. It also plugs into 120 VAC and has Bluetooth. It can be used as a freezer or a fridge but not both at the same time. It holds temperature amazingly well and is fairly stingy on power consumption.

@bigb: Thank you so much: just added the 12v plug-in panel from Levittown. Since power is only fed to 12/120v during "engine on" applications - seems like we need to feed a battery pack first to sustain fridge operations - although, long road trips should be fine as a direct plug in. WR...

Yes when we drive down there we only stop for fuel, supplies and a restaurant so each stop is under an hour and everything stays cold with no power. You can monitor temp with Bluetooth. It also has a small LED light which stays on all the time, I didn't need it so I unplugged it.
