Ranger XL STX and first time truck owner here

Hey there

Really love this, as it’s my first truck ever. Wife and I wanted more capability and our Mach E is our primary vehicle. We got the base model XL. Put it to work today getting many bags of mulch.

couple questions
- what’s the bare minimum amount of things I need to have for this truck? Ratchet straps are already on my list.
- what are the hard floor mat options? I see none on fords website.
- any general advice to truck care?

One thing that comes to mind that car owners may not think about is: When you park it, it's almost always better to back it into a spot than to pull in normally. Better yet, find two open spots end to end and pull into the far space (as you did in your picture above ). An exception would be if you have to access the bed to load it when you come out (Like a Costco run). Otherwise, backing in is best. It's so much easier to back in with today's backup cameras, and when you go to leave, it's way easier to just pull out of the space than to try to back out with that big, tall bed blocking your view...

Just picked up my XL STX this past week. First and only one in town and I helped unwrap from the tractor trailer too. I really like it and drove to Colorado and back this week. Solid and an excellent experience. I bought a tow strap and of course threw in my battery cables. Added my hitch, ordered mud flaps, ready to roll. Spray in bed liner next up. Post would have been better with mulch payload pic. Congrats on the truck, my first truck too, having a functional vehicle is amazing especially if you own a home.
