Raptor Rally - Reduced Price & (20% Off ! -update) Changed your mind about going?

In about 45 days from today, the first Raptor Rally is upon us.

Like many of you, I signed up for updates when I first heard the news broke. Once I saw the price ?, no thanks. $1,000?!

My only thought was, "What a missed opportunity to make this great."

Why not set up the rally similar to Carlisle Ford Nationals? Where tickets are $15 to $30 and kids under 12 are free.
Or even Super Bronco Celebration, where tickets are $100 and include:
•Show field parking
•Event access for the Bronco owner and their family
•Show-N-Shine entry
•$10 food truck voucher
•Event shirt
•Raffle tickets
•Truck & Trailer Parking Pass (if needed)

I understand that these events I mentioned above are multiple days, and the rally is a one-day event. Something in addition to what is currently offered is greatly missed.

Why not offer Raptor owners the chance to just Show-N-Shine? Something to include our family as well. I know many of you have little ones. That's what these meets are all about. Hanging out with friends and family, sharing experiences with others, comparing ideas, and making new friends.

I don't see this as an enthusiasts event but more of a money grab. Just my opinion ?, don't shoot me ?.

Have a feeling not enough people signed up ?, reason for them lowering the price to $500.

The issue is that the Carlisle Ford Nationals event is multiple makes and models and significantly bigger; while the Bronco Celebration is open to all Broncos ever. The Raptor Rally is only open to Raptor variant trucks. The event is in Utah and is geared towards folks who want to rally/off-road the interested population of owners is the following calculation F150 Raptor Sales > US based Sales > people interested in rallying/off-roading.

You are correct, they probably lowered it because of lack of sign ups, but since this thing is Raptor Only its never going to be cheap because the volume just isnt there.

Nah. I came from another limited production Ford that had like 55k total units over its run. I know costs have gone up significantly since I last attended a national meet up event, but even with our modest turn out we never had to pay more than a few hundred to participate for a weekend long event (Friday evening - Sunday dinner/award), and we rented out a drag strip for race day and park pavilion near the dyno shop for show and shine day.

If we could do it, they could too.

Same. If there were any dates left for the Raptor Assault course the week before or after I might have thought about it and made a week of it out there. A drive out from Wisconsin would turn a week long trip into almost a 2 week trip.
Maybe next year when I have a little more time open I can plan a proper trip out there.

I go to Moab every year in May for the 4 solid days. It's pretty easy to find an Airbnb and just do your own thing out there. I been out there 5 times now and wondering if I should do a tour guide for a bunch of raptors and charge less. lol. I know there is guided off road tours you can do out there for $250 for 3 nights of camping with food included.
