On my 2024 Ranger with 30,000 km on the clock, the brakes suddenly started squeaking badly.

The inner brake pad on the rear left was completely worn away, while all the other pads were in perfect condition.

I suspect the brake caliper, but Ford said it’s a known issue with the brake booster.

Does anyone know more?

The 2024s still had the vacuum brake boosters - 25 plus has the electric ones. I have not heard of an issue with the vacuum ones only that they changed to electric ones for the 25+ models

I have never owned a Ford that didn't have brake issues early on. Most of the time the caliper seizes up. Every Ford. Bought a new superduty a couple years ago, right off the dealer lot it had a shutter when braking. Bad caliper and it warped the rotor. That with a bearing noise of sort, I traded it off. Another time, another truck, caliper seized up w/ 20k miles and left me stranded. On alder F-150 I had for years and it ate calipers like no business. Someone tell why I tried Ford again?
