You are absolutely correct, I shouldn't have to do anything special like I mentioned to get the seat to latch because of a faulty part or poor design. What was done under warranty for yours to work properly? Any new parts, latch, striker, etc.? Do you happen to have a copy of the repair order from the dealership you can share with us describing what they did to fix the issue? Thanks!Definitely should be covered under warranty. Mine was including the damage to the seat back. Mine now closes normally. I don't have to do anything special like gmarcucio is suggesting.
