Rear view mirror cover loose

Didn’t look great to begin with but now it’s almost impossible to stay on right with this Texas heat. The plastic is very soft when left out and even the double sided tape i mashed into the clips can’t handle the heat. I used to have the strap on there but they took it off when they removed the headliner for the recall.

You guys have problems with this? Remedy?

I noticed when I installed sound dampener above the headliner that the trim piece there felt softer than the rest of the plastic trim pieces. It doesn't look like too expensive of a part though if replacing it would fix it:

There was a rubber strap on the cover that connects to the windshield somehow, but I know that wont fix the problem as the clips don't stay put.

I need to see if mine is even damaged before replacing. I think that's just the flimsy nature of it (especially with this heat).

Yep, same issue with mine. The tech buggered it up during the recall. I plan on submitting for warranty when I have time and other needed repairs.
