Hi all,

I picked up my truck last Saturday and then immediately went on a work trip with the truck at home. It got covered in pollen so I detailed it this morning and when drying I found my right tail light to be loose. The left is snug as expected.

Should I look in to it and see if it’s a simple fix, or go straight to the dealer? It’s entirely possible it’s just not screwed in all the way I suppose, but I haven’t seen how these are mounted.

Decided to check and glad I did- bad news. There are two clips missing which provide the main method of retaining the tail light. It has flapped in the wind and on bumps and cause wear in 3 locations. Seems like dealer visit time. Didn’t even get to drive it one whole day…

Added mastic tape to the 3 wear parts to ensure it doesn’t get worse. The white parts of the body are where the light housing has worn away the clearcoat.

That's pathetic. Quality hasn't been Job 1 since around 1986.

I’ll trade you for the factory dent on the tailgate that caused the paint to crack that they installed on mine on the tailgate and missed in QC.
Truck is 2 weeks old and scheduled to have the whole tailgate painted this week.

Same thing happened on my Bronco, MAP’s QC is the worst, but make sure to pay them more!

I’ve got the same blind spot fault and cross traffic fault at each drive and under 2k miles! Can you help me?

I'm not sure they check the forums still, hopefully the Dealer can do something to assist
