Paint chipping above the tail light

I looked at a couple of new Ranger Raptors on my dealers lot and here's the picture of them, no paint chip. I took mine in and had them look at it. They took some pictures and they're sending them to Ford to see what they're gonna do about it. We shall see....

Just checked my 2026 (with less than 500 miles on it)... apparently Ford has done nothing to fix this issue

Being a Ford guy back to my '91 fox body, this in infuriating that this is still an issue. It just shows that Ford don't give too F%$! about the product they put out. This issue has been on going since the RR was introduced in '24. Unfortunately, from what I have observed in the Ranger, fit/finish quality is subpar, especially the Raptor version for some reason. When looking for my RR I only saw (1) normal ranger that had the tail light issue, just about every RR had this issue.

I am just as guilty as everyone else, however until we stop buying their sh@! we are the one's who will suffer. It's a shame, because it is awesome truck.

To add further, I was so excited when I found one without the tail light issue and good paint job, I missed (3) outward dents on my passenger side and stained front bumper (Thought it was tire dressing) that does not come off. Well at least my tail light is not an issue.

While doing my tailgate seal yesterday I noticed that the gaps with the tailgate were inconsistent, and the body panels on the driver and passenger side have different angles. Pretty piss-poor QC, and amazing that this has been going on for over 2 years and Ford hasn't fixed their manufacturing. Seems like a jig thing to me

I feel lucky.
My 2025 is really clear of any chipping around both rear lights.

I didn't think I had the issue... But...Today I removed the taillights to remove the bed rails, there it is.
I took a sharp file and dressed the edges of both taillights so they don't rub.
