Not that I'm planning on selling it anytime soon but whats everyone's thought on resell value of the Ranger Raptor. How well do you think they will hold value?

Honestly prices will increase due to the strike demands.

If they hike prices I’m out.

Depends on how exclusive it ends up being and what the ADM situation continues to look like.

If you ordered it with a agreement(Order Form) from your dealer than it shouldn't go up. The new UAW contract will affect new orders but not previous orders.

I read that Ford will be raising vehicle prices 850.00 to 900.00 across the board.
We shell see if this is correct. Expect an increase due to higher labor costs.
Also read UAW would like to try to unionize Honda and Toyota plants in US.

If they do this, you should get mad at Ford. The majority of wage increases don’t happen right away they’re staggered over several years. Labor costs are $3000 per vehicle (self reported by Stellantis) so at the most, labor goes up only $750 per vehicle. But, that 25% raise only affects the workers at the top tier and most workers are not at that top tier so the per vehicle cost increase should be less than that. If they go up $900, that means Ford is pocketing money on top.

Some of the people are paying a high ADM and will probably not get that back in resale later.

Keep in mind that Ford doesn't have to just pay all UAW workers more over 4 years, but now they have to offset the $1.5 billion they lost over the UAW strike. As we've been saying all along, these costs will get passed to the consumer as they always do.

Lol. Time is that I have. No build date yet and Ford didn't bother to send me another 45-day update.
I never received my second 45 day notice either, I’m most likely not going to except mine anyway the prices of new trucks are crazy. Hopefully by next summer inventories will be back to normal and supply chain issues worked out. I’m leaning toward a F150 tremor with the 5.0. The twin turbo 3.0 worries me a little, but I’m not 100% sure which truck I want

Hard to say for certain, but I think they're going to hold value pretty well. Anyone getting one early at MSRP will likely never be upside down in value.

It's barely a 5k different between lariat and raptor trims and for what you get I'll be really surprised if that price difference does not increase. On top of the rarity, it's going to be almost impossible for anyone to go buy one off of a lot without a sky high markup for quite some time.

If they are kept rare, I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being like the Focus RS I just sold. Bought new, owned for 7 years and 46k miles, and sold for 88% of the original MSRP. At worst it's probably similar to how F150 Raptors depreciate.

Just curious, did you sell your RS private party? I have an ST that has held value pretty well and I'm trying to decide the best way to maximize value on a sale.

Yes that was private party. I didn't get a quote from a dealer this time, but I have in the past when I was considered selling it and they offered a lot less. And then they'd probably turn around and sell it for even more than I did based on the prices I see them going for online...

Private party is probably the highest $ value you'd be able to get, but it's worth considering if you get a sales tax credit where you live, and how much value not having to deal with the sale itself is worth to you.

I got lucky with the first person that saw it buying it, but had planned to have a few months to sell it before the ranger raptor came in. Now I almost wish I had waited longer ha...
