I have the manual version (Pro XR) on my XLT and like it. It's well built and should hold up. It'e easy to install my Yakima racks on and off of, which is nice too.
Some water gets in places that are not the covers fault, so search this forum and you'll see how some of the members have made their covers more water tight.
My only negative is the drain tubes that would not stay in place. I ended up using HVAC tape to hold them in.

Would a Foam Seal all the way around help with this as well? Similar to what you would use to seal a Truck Cap.

The water comes in through some holes in the front of the bed and through the accessory mounting points on the bed rails. The cover has a foam seal and seals fine against the caps and bulkhead. I think the tailgate seal should be about a 1/8 in longer on my cover, but I've not see much water there. More come in at the tailgate sides. It's not a big amount though.

I'm on my second RollNLock and my first Retrax. The Retrax was on my 04' F-150 XLT and I had zero issues in 126,000+ miles. Granted none are completely waterproof.
On my 19' Ranger and 25' Ranger the RollNLock have been lust as reliable and functional as the Retrax. Main difference between the two is the RollNLock container at the front of the bed is smaller.

It leaks a ton so keep your gear in bins in the bed of the truck and be sure to periodically check the mounting hardware as mine has shifted a bit here and there and needs adjustment every few months but I have a rack mounted to the tracks so that is what causes it for me
