Yep.
I could easily see that being true.

‘I run +30 17x8.5s with stock 285/70R17s and I am close to the front crash bars at full steering lock in reverse. A +25 would be slightly closer then my +30s.

Not likely to be anything to worry about. It would mostly be a rare situation that could potentially create a brief very minor rub. Nothing I would ever worry about.
That's why I went with ET +35's, it as close to stock as I can get. Several years of lifting / upfitting RR's in Australia, GOAT off-road said +35 to +40 is optimal balance. Clear's wider tires if you up-sizing, but keeps them as close in as possible, now that is with their strut spacers since most of their experience is with larger tires, but the same applies for stock tires + aftermarket wheels.

Since we are on stock tires, no need for spacers. I like generous clearances with tires so when it's pushed hard, it doesn't rip body panels off. If I ever considered larger tires, I would do custom fender flares and wheel well liners to accomodate the larger tires instead of lifting so as to maintain optimal geometry and CG.

Since my track width is already 40mm wider than stock, a true 34" tire would be just about right (285/75R17) and probably offer a really good balance of slightly higher clearance, without being a massive boat anchor of un-sprung mass, especially since the 705's I'm running are only 25lb wheels.

But I won't do anything like that until its paid off, so for quite a while it's going to be stock tire sizes.

I switched to these Method wheels with a +25mm offset and noticed my transmission hunting a lot more (relearned with Forscan) and it is more nervous on the highway requiring a lot more steering input than before.

Anyone notice a bit of very faint understeer at random times with +25?
