Safety Recall Notice 26S30

Bummer.
I took the truck to dealer yesterday for a warranty windshield replacement and the Front seat pivot bolts recall
Got a call today the pivot bolts failed the recall for torque.
They have to order the parts and can't release the truck back to me until recall is complete.
Estimated early next week.
Service writer apologized for not letting me know this could be the case.
Oh well. It sucks but what can ya do.

Not yet. I have another vehicle and didn't feel like driving 30 miles to dealer to pick one up.
If it goes on too long next week I might ask for one.

Are they giving you a loaner?
Did they say how long it would take to get the parts?
Are they picking up peoples monthly payment for a truck they cannot use?

How long is it going to be until they send out an over the air update that locks your truck up until you get it fixed?

Per a Google search, a dealer does not have the right to hold on to your truck if they do not have the parts to fix it. (If I can trust the search engine)

I have not asked for a loaner yet. I will see what next week brings.
I have another vehicle so not hearting for transportation.
Parts should be hear early next week.
The seats have to be removed for the recall testing. According to the service writer they can not reinstall the seats with failed parts.
