And that clip came off the vinyl plastic so now it is taped to the subwoofer housing below it.

And a hitch cover which I hope will be easier on my shins when I eventually hit it.

So this arrived today, a Lomax cover.

o have mixed feeling about it as the finish on the inside is a bit rough. There are burrs on the cuts and it is painted aluminum, not anodized.

they spent all of the money on the top as it looks great.

the clamps are bolted to the side rail through the existing holes.

it only folds up into one third, but it is really easy to remove completely, no screws or tools needed and relatively lightweight.

i had a little issue with the passenger side tailgate latch being loose but I was able to lower the rail.

functionally, it is exactly what I wanted, I think for the price, it could be a little nicer construction on the interior.

And this torque wrench came in and has found a home on top of the jack.

And the clip on the subwoofer is holding so the rear middle seat seatbelt is neatly out of the way,

i loved mine on my F150. I rarely needed the whole bed and when i did i just lifted it out into my garage. Seems you have some minor QC issues though.

Today I washed and put some griots 3 in 1 ceramic wax on.

made a mess with my new foam cannon

happy with how easy it is to remove and replace the Lomax cover as it makes cleaning much easier

So today I added this sun shade. Fits very well with a little hassle around the rear view mirror.

tight fit in the front seat back pockets.

Something i didn’t know I needed until I saw a picture on here, a new insert for the center console.

And a nice new large rechargeable flash light ?. My wife gets one too for her car. Let’s see if she notices.

Installed rival recovery points.

fairly easy to do. did one side at a time so I didn’t need to support the intercooler.

Note there is a little screw on the intercooler support that holds a piece of plastic that needs to be removed and replaced.

I was perplexed for a moment or two why the OEM tow point wouldn’t come out because of that screw which is a bit hidden from view.

per rival I installed with the WLL lettering on the recovery point facing up.

I did not trim the rubber around the recovery point like the rival instructions tell you to do.

in a perfect world I won’t get to try these out

looks good with the soft shackles and vee recovery bridle from yankum.

.

So looking at the oem tow hook, the hook itself is pretty beefy as is the weld on the hook

the weak part is the spacer that lowers the hook below the frame

it’s probabaly fine if the pull is straight but if the tug is off axis, the rival looks to be a better design.

i marked where that little pesky screw was
