It's your emissions rules, to meet Euro 6.2 they had to install a Particulate Filter and de-rate the engine significantly. That's why.

As stated in multiple sources:
European Raptor comes with limited 288 HP instead of Australian 392 HP

https://www.carscoops.com/2022/02/2...p-in-eu-and-394-hp-twin-turbo-v6-in-aus-spec/
https://www.motor1.com/news/612901/2023-ford-ranger-raptor-dyno-run/

I hope it's only electronic and no parts needed to re-tune for 392 HP.

Why Europe why 😖
That Carscoops article is a tough read: " front bash plate made of 2.3-inch thick high-strength steel " and " twin-rated tow hooks "

Yea it should be a typo about having 2.3 inch thick bash plate, lol

Yea I currently own last years model and planing to trade it with the newer one but unfortunately I'm gonna skip it due to de-powered engine. Stupid EU! They take all the joy from us!

It'll still have way more go than the diesel.

I think the entire article is typo errors...... 392 hp with a coyote motor......
The entire article is so terrible that I wouldn't put any weight in it. Given the very limited level of automotive knowledge the "writer" demonstrates, the European model could well be using the OTHER 3L V6 turbo engine.

Yea but as seen it's official now. Europe will use de-powered engines :/
Ranger Raptor UK Build website is up and you can clearly see engine is 3.0 petrol and 292 HP only.

Most strange as my 2.3L Lariat with the FRPP tune probably makes better numbers.

Word is the 2.7 twin turbo will go into select 6g models when it finally comes to North America? The last number I saw for the 2.7L motor was 325 net hp in the Fusion - have no idea what it makes in the Bronco. No 400 hp 3.0 Ecoboost Rangers....:headbang:

400 hp 3.0L Ecoboost is still available in the Explorer ST for North America.

DPFs are only on diesel motors here in NA at the moment. I never knew GDI motors overseas began using Gasoline Particulate Filters (GPFs) about 5 years ago. NA is considering them.
You might be surprised, VW are using them now in a lot of their petrol turbo engines already.
