Yea that is pretty much around where I would expect it to come in price wise or at least high 60s.

For me, I have full size HD diesel trucks and have a TRX as a crazy super truck, but for my daily I use my 2 dr Bronco.

Don't much like parking the big trucks in the city when just running around town or going into the office. My Ranger Raptor is going to be taking over as my daily driver, and the Bronco might eventually get sold, not sure yet on that part.

I am just wanting smaller ultra comfortable truck, yet still very capable of truck type task, yet has to be nice looking, has to be smooth riding, essentially all the things my big full-size trucks can and do offer, only in a much smaller package, better suited for city runabout work, yet still very comfortable for long distances travel in whenever needed.

My Bronco does part of that job well, but does not ride very smooth, is not comfortable on longer trips, and lacks a lot of the luxury features I really like.

That is why I am buying my Ranger Raptor.

Just saying I would be more than happy to pay for those added luxuries seen in that platinum model, as long as it had the rest of the truck was still Raptor based.

That platinum as seen in other markets is not going to ride near as smooth as the Raptor does, it won't have the performance of the 3.0L gas Turbo v6 that the Raptor has, unless the US version gets the Raptor's 3.0L which I really doubt it gets more than 2.7L likely standard if and whenever the Platinum gets offered here in the US.

It is really about being the right size truck, without any compromises typically found with most of the mid-size segment.

Your probably right, Ford will never see it that way and will likely continue down the same beaten paths. But just wanted to put my thoughts out there. I maybe alone in those thoughts and maybe the current Raptor I am buying is going to be as close as I can ever get to what I am after.
Actually the Lariat 2.7 rides better than the Raptor. I was impressed with the ride and how smooth the 2.7 Ranger lariat drives. I own a Raptor Ranger it is more of a sports car type ride than the other Raptors. I like my Ranger Raptor allot but have to say in the ride department the 2.7 Ranger Lariat is the best riding Ranger. The Raptor does handle better, it more of a sports car feeling to me. The Raptor Ranger goes where you point it and never gets unsettled in a corner because of bumps it just so well planted to the road. Got the Ford performance tune in my Ranger Raptor and it really wakes up the truck. Your Ranger Raptor will be a great daily driver that is what I do with mine it allot of fun to drive.

I don't disagree with you, I am content we at least have the RR though.
The rear ac parts and grab handles will be an interest for the aftermarket which is a positive.
It would sell well. They don't make a Platinum model because it would eat into F150 sales. The F150 is a much more profitable model

The Platinum version has zero features that I see as an upgrade. In fact, it's the opposite direction – McGillicuddy grampa comfort cruiser - of where I want the Ranger to go. And if orange accents are good enough for Lamborghini and McLaren, they're good enough for me. Diamond tufted upholstery (Platinum) is found mostly in coffins or caskets. I guess the debate is sport vs luxury?

Well, I think for the most part, outside the US/Canada, the ranger is their F-150. If you loaded up a ranger to those specs here it would be in the F-150 pricing and it wouldn't sell well, the majority would just get the F-150. Just my opinion.
What ever happened to the people wanting the smaller truck? I traded my Lightning in for the Ranger because I realized I wanted a smaller truck after owning the Lightning for a year. So that situation wouldn't apply to me and I'm sure many others.
