Shifting concern?

Happened in my Bronco. Went away after few thousand miles. I heard the tranny has to learn your driving habits.

Had something akin to dropping into neutral today while slowly pulling out of a parking lot, like if a transmission is low on fluid. Is that what y'all are noticing, like you've shifted into neutral for second or two before getting momentum again?

I've had it skip shift from 1st to 3rd under WOT a few times. Still getting some harsh downshifting from 3rd to 2nd too but it's less pronounced and less frequent.

Same thing happens on 5G, so I always drive in tow mode to slightly raise shift points, no gear skips, and shuts of AS/S

Is this the transmission issues everyone is talking about elsewhere? I see 3-4 lawyers working on class action lawsuits. I haven’t even gotten me ranger yet. Makes wonder if there is a bigger problem

Skipping gears in a 10 speed is normal, and depends on your driving habits,
And don't hold your breath on the class action lawsuit, that been ongoing for years with no resolutions.

You have the previous model with the 10R80 transmission. Many on the 5G forum have problems with that transmission, and there are several TSB's cover the issue that Ford will do to correct the issues, assuming you are still under warranty.

Not under warranty, and they just quoted me $7500 for a new transmission. Not a fan of Ford right now
