Does everyone's SiriusXM update for 15 - 30 seconds every time they start their vehicle?
I don't think this is just tied to my 2024 RR, I think it's a Sirius issue within the SYNC 4 platform, possibly tied to the "start over or similar music" features available. Whatever it is, it's annoying AF and I can't find a way to prevent it from doing so within the settings. Every time I start my RR, even if I just shut it off... Sirius thinks it needs to update all channels, etc. (or whatever it's doing) and while this is going on, you cannot change the station.
I tried disabling auto updates, but that appears to only be tied to the SYNC 4 platform for vehicle specifics and I don't want to disable other feature updates (i.e. Wi-Fi, navigation, etc.) to stop this annoyance... just the continual Sirius updates at vehicle startup. Thanks group...

Yes, it's annoying as all get out. It strictly a Sirius thing. Same thing happens in my Wife's Bronco Sport with Sync3...

Criminy... well, at least not alone and not an obscure Sirius issue with my RR then. Thanks man...

If you want SiriusXM, but at a lower cost, drop the subscription on the truck and change it to an internet subscription. I made this move 3 years ago, it gives me streaming via any internet connected device which means I have it in the truck via the Android app (or Car Playif that's what you use). It's significantly cheaper to run it this way, $5.00 per month promo rate, $10 per month at full cost..

LOL... I got in on the ground floor of Sirius, when they merged with XM back in about 2008 and at that time, lifetime subscriptions were available... I bought 2 (transferable to different vehicles, small charge), have never paid a subscription charge since.
