Agreed on the simple installation and like others have said this thing is rock solid. I only have one arm on it for now, but it doesn’t move at all. Depending on the type of drill you have, you might need a right angle attachment for the back 2 screws due to low windshield clearance. I had to run inside for mine and since it doesn’t have a chuck, I used my own bit. Calipers say the supplied bit is actually a 7/64 bit. Otherwise super straightforward. 5 minutes. Great product. You’d think the manufacturers would start including these more often on these types of vehicles, similar to the Aux switches.

Love Tackform products. Have a phone mount on my TJ Rubicon and it's solid. Thinking about getting this for the RR and mounting fly rod holders on it so I can carry rigged rods sticking out the back window.
I've always found PVC pipe great for holding and storing fishing rods. Guess this works too.

I'm about to order a set, and from what I can tell you can simply unclip an accessory from the assault, regardless of other accessories inboard/outboard of it, whereas on the slim you would have to slide those other accessories out of the way to remove something in the middle.

Hope that makes sense.
Hey thanks for the post! any update on this issue/non-issue? Im thinking the same thing but looks like you could keep the 20mm ball and just switch or swap the arms that connect ball to phone mount, or is it more difficult than the pics online show?

with the track its extremely easy to loosen the ball directly from the track and slide one out and another in…seconds to do so. Easier IMO than changing arm-to-ball. But it’s really 6 of one half dozen of another. Either way, the track is quite easy. I suspect most people will get their accessories mounted and then not change them much.

It's a non-issue now that I've got it installed; I don't think it matters at all which type you get, tbh. To my Mk1 eyeball the track just looks a little cleaner aesthetically.

It's like a quarter turn on the allen head and you can move stuff around at will.

Agreed. Now that I figured out proper position to not obstruct line of sight and clear the infotainment display, I doubt I'll be changing anything.
