Softopper for 2024 XLT

I just ordered a Softopper for my XLT.
It was a decision between bed cover or Softopper.
My son has had a Softopper on his Tacoma for several years. I like it's durability/ stability and easy operation folding down or removing for cargo.
Only issue I see is the clear back window is hazing over. Typical for plastic roll-up windows. There are products that can delay the hazing. Softopper has replacements or any canvas shop can replace.
Excited to give it a try.

Do you have plans for the third brake light when the topper is installed (ie adding one on the tailgate or something)?

Possibly. Softopper does have a third brake light kit you can order. Taps into your driver side brake light and mounts over the back window.
My son did not put one on his but is thinking about it. He carries bikes on a rack that blocks his driver's side tail lamp so would be a good idea.

Installed. Test ride back road and freeway did not produce any road noise from the shell.
Nice heavy duty material
Easy to fold up and or remove if need be.
I will be adding the optional 3rd. Brake Light for safety.

I had a softopper on my old 87 wrangler, back in my jeep days. Not only is the top very well made, but their customer service is awesome.

My neighbors garage burned down and melted the passenger side windows on my softopper. I called and asked about replacements and told them what happened to cause me to be needing replacements so soon and they replaced all the melted parts for free and shipped for free.

Thats a heck of a great company to replace stuff that got messed up that wasnt even caused by a manufacturing defect

I was surprised how fast it arrived.
Softopper was bought out by Bestop a few years ago. Hopefully they will provide just as good of customer service.
