SPD down pipe for 2025 2.3l

Has anyone done the SPD catted down pipe with factory exhaust? I would like to do an intake and the down pipe I know it’s a 4 cylinder so I’m not expecting V8 sounds but I’m curious as to what it might sound like thanks!

I did this to my 2019 Ranger the SPD down pipe and aftermarket exhaust. I can say with the after market exhaust it was just too loud. The factory exhaust should not be bad at all. I would have left the factory exhaust if the down pipe would have bolted right up.

so what is the benefit of doing one of those? is it like headers for a carb'd engine in that it just improves scavenging and exhaust flow? i see people talk about downpipes on lots of forums but i don't know what they change

Down pipes are high flow very little restriction. If you put one of the high flow down pipes next to an OEM CAT it's like half the size. Being this was on a 4Cyl the OEM CAT doesn't have much restriction from what I could tell.

If anyone is looking for a down pipe I have the one from my 2019. I would be willing to work a nice price for it, I hate seeing something just sitting there never to be used.

Catalytic converter now days are so free flowing that it doesnt hurt to have it. They arent like back in the 80s where they stopped the exhust up a bit.

You know honestly Sandman I think it was a waste of money but hey I was willing to give it a try.

The downpipe I purchased would not bolt up to the factory exhaust because it was 3" all the way out the tail pipe. The whole setup was not cheap and for the money not worth it.

The best thing you can do for the 4Cly is change the charge pipes and tune. You will notice a big difference with just those 2 items.

there is no way that down pipe fits a ‘25 if it looks like the one pictured…
That looks like what i ran on my ‘20,and the 25’s are completely different.

That being said,my 20’ absolutely loved the 400 cell cat and larger pipe outlet.
once it was retuned for it,my 20 really woke up nicely.Turbos hate exhaust restrictions
