Subwoofer Popping Noise

Have a 2025 Ranger Raptor with about 4,000 miles on it. The last couple of days every time I turn my truck on or off the subwoofer makes a loud popping noise. It is kept in a garage with the windows up and I haven’t had anyone or anything in the back seat that would have interfered with the amp or speaker. Has anyone experienced anything similar? It is incredibly aggravating. I guess I’ll have to take it in for service. I’ve had zero issues with the vehicle so far until this started happening.

I have seen that in installs where people add an amp and sub but not in a factory system. Its been so long though, i cannot remember the fix but like many things i feel like its a ground issue.

Google your popping noise from speakers when turning off truck and i bet it shows right up

Thanks for the info. I’ll have to put the seat backrest down and trace my way forward from there this weekend if it persists.

After it kept happening for a few days it stopped and hasn’t returned in the last 9,000 miles. Never did figure out what caused it or what fixed it.
