I am pretty sure there is not option to tweak the Sync 4 sceen on our Rangers (Raptor in my case) but I feel this row of buttons woudl be better served hidden allowing the Android Auto of Apple Car Play to use the space. Seems redundent to have two rows of buttons. The Ford ones being hidden could be another button at the top left?? Or maybe when you touch the screen the show up but autohide when nothing is touched.

Just ranting a bit.....

Honestly I'd rather it take up the entire screen, including the climate controls. A Ford shortcut within the Carplay menu can take you back out to the Ford interface.

There's even a Carplay API that allows the screen to expand and take more space. Here's an example of Ford using it on the F-150 so that it can consume the right side of the screen. This can be done in a vertical orientation too.

An option to hide those panels would be nice. Especially the climate controls unless you start engaging the physical buttons or click a button to unhide

Although I find myself going between Android auto & normal radio quite frequently when I'm listening to siriusXM while relying on AA for nav.

Early on there was a marketing claim that you would be able to resize all modules on the sync4A systems. They dropped that after a bit though and it clearly never made it to production

I am not impressed with the screen. Why not just put the seat heater as an actual button. Have you tried hitting that tiny thing while driving?
The seat/steering wheel heat button is the worst. I usually engage Adaptive Cruise Control with the Lane Keep engaged to provide a bit of safety when taking my eyes off the road to use it. Muscle memory just doesn't work for touchscreen inputs. Haptic feedback would improve it.

Since all of the HVAC is redundant with physical buttons it would make more sense to allow that to be hidden/collapsible. The multi-view on CarPlay could then use the current screen size for the map and the bottom for multimedia or navigation.
