Hello all - apologies if these are answered elsewhere and I am new to this Forum, but I could not find any threads that answered this. I'm looking to address some items with Sync4 on my '24 RR.
  • Customize the shortcuts; the default shortcuts are Radio, Phone, Navigation, Media, and Towing. I would like to change, for instance, the Towing shortcut to Zone Lighting. Can this be done?
  • In the Navigation, I have Arrival time as one of the displayed metrics, but it shows the Arrival time in 24hr units even though my global settings are in 12hr. I have looked everywhere and cannot figure out how to change this, if it is possible.
  • I get a "Location and Vehicle Data Sharing Enabled" message every time I start the truck. Can this be globally dismissed or do I have to hit Ok every single time?
  • On the Radio screen, I am able to have 3 rows of Presets. The screen and space suggest that there should be room to add more presets, but I cannot figure out how to do so. Is it possible?
Again, apologies if these are already answered else where, but I couldn't find them. Much appreciate any help.

Thanks!

You are not alone, Ive been trying for months to try and figure out how to change navigation ETA to 12hr & not 24hr as well!

Try a you tube search for 2024 Ford Sync4a.
I found one that addresses some of your questions such as adding another row for radio. I think you can have up to 6 rows.
I have had my truck for a week and a half now so still trying to figure it out as well.
I do not get the global notification you get.

I found that after you start the Navigation it tells you the ETA in 24 hour mode. If you go into settings and turn on then off the 24 hour time setting the ETA in navigation will show up in the 12 hour time setting. But you will need to do this every time! It appears to be a software glitch. Hopefully an update fixes it.

I've noticed when I've planned a route the altimeter goes away. Nothing brings it back until I cancel the route.

You might have to skip some ads to get to it.
Thanks, this was helpful in figuring out how to get more preset rows...almost feel dumb how easy it was for how much time I spent trying to do it myself.

Anyone have any thoughts on the following?
  • Customize the shortcuts; the default shortcuts are Radio, Phone, Navigation, Media, and Towing. I would like to change, for instance, the Towing shortcut to Zone Lighting. Can this be done?

Glad I'm not alone - does Ford have a way to receive this kind of feedback so they could address it in an update? Seems like a really simple update.

Guess I'm the only one who always uses 24 hour time. :) It should match the truck settings though.
