That's how they are supposed to work. The pins get snapped off and then you push them through, after de-burring both the pin and the hole. Read my tip above and keep the pins with the rivet that you took if off of so it will fit correctly.

Raptor3TT, would you be so kind as to post a few pics of the bottom seal attached? I received my kit from DT today and they report it's an "updated" kit without rivets. It just has tape on the backside. Not very confident "tape" will hold up over time and use.

I hope these are what you are looking for. To be honest, I wouldn't trust tape either. However, they did tell me the updated bed (that doesn't need J braces) no longer has the holes the rivets go into.

Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for. I have the holes in my bed and I like the idea of the "physical" connection of that seal better.

Just FYI, I have the updated bed that doesn't need j braces and mine still has the holes.
