Anyone find any options for anti theft taillights screws on the 2024 Ranger Raptor? I can find them for previous models and F150’s but that’s it.
This is better than doing nothing but you can buy those torx bit tools anywhere. If a person is stealing these for money you can bet they know what they are doing and have an assortment of tools.Pull one of the bolts out of the fender/taillight assembly and go down to the hardware store (a real hardware store) and ask for a bolt like that with a security head on it. Purchase how many you want to. (It would not be necessary to replace all of the bolts for security bolts.
You will need a bit to match too.

Damn! Haven’t heard of that being even possible! They probably wanted the fancy full LED tail light or something? They’re VIN coded so probably won’t work on another ranger without some sort of software procedure? As far as I know they’re not a simple swappable part?Unscrewed the plate on the back of the tailgate to drop the tailgate.
im going to guess they are getting in the bed and removing the panel on the inside of the tailgate to bypass the lock. Either locking bed cover or tamper resistant screws would present enough of a challenge to make someone look for an easier target.Anyone know if they're breaking/picking the Tailgate lock to gain access to the two taillight mounting bolts?
There's a LIDAR unit in each taillight. That's what provides the blind spot monitoring when you reverse out of a parking spot.Damn! Haven’t heard of that being even possible! Sure, if the methhead can distinguish between the different taillights. So, for the xl trim guys, we are good since we dont have the fancier look lights with the radar black bump on them?
Yes I know that - there’s even a little blind spot monitoring logo on the tail light where the sensors areThere's a LIDAR unit in each taillight. That's what provides the blind spot monitoring when you reverse out of a parking spot.
