I just picked up my ‘25 RR. Starting to think about mods…. Anyone have feedback about the perch collars? I want to keep a lower stance, so I’m thinking perch collars with 33” tires on 18’s…?

Sharp looking truck Congrats!
You would not need any sort of lift to run 33s on a +25 offset rim or greater.
I am running 33s on +30 Bronco SAS rims on my RRs.

Yeah, I know it comes stock with 33’s. I want something a little wider with a 18 wheel leveled out. I think that will look pretty good

I need to learn about offsets.
What sort of stance are you after ?
Flush
Some poke
a lot of poke

Ie.. 0 offset would create about an 1 inch of poke outside the fenders. .

Personally I prefer a flush stance with as wide of a tire as possible keeping the weight of the tire in mind, meaning I avoid heavy load range E tires if possible. A heavy load range E / 10 ply tire will cause a noticeable drop in performance and fuel mileage.

Tires do vary in actual dimensions even when labeled the same size.
‘The actual tread width of the Faken At4ws I am running in the stock 285/70R17 size are about an inch wider then the same 285/70R17 Oem BFGs the truck came with.
I am using a +30 offset Ford wheel borrowed from a Bronco Sasquatch pkg .

This is good to know. I do t want to poke out a lot, just a little width so it fills up the fenders a little bit. I don’t want it kicking rocks up all over the paint

You will want to keep your offset at around +30 to +40 depending on rim width, which can effect things say you looking at a 8” wide rim comparing it to a 9” wide rim if both have the same offset that 9” rim would push them out 0.5“ more the the 8” rim.

I am the same way, I don’t want any poke for the same reasons you stated, plus I think the flush stance looks the best imo.

I am setting perfectly flush with my setup.
17x8.5 +30 offset

If you like 18s
A 18x8.5 +30 offset.would give the same stance / track width as mine.

‘’You have +55 offset now so that change to a +30 offset staying with a 8.5” wide wheel, will push your tires out 0.39” .

Congrats! You have chosen wisely on your color. Just some food for thought on the ol’ eye test. I couldn’t stand the silver lower valance on the front end on the desert sand along with the skid plate. Also the horrible silver & gray ‘Raptor’ stickers on the rear fenders. So those came off immediately. The silver just looks off putting on the tan. It doesn’t mate up well at all and there’s so little of it so I felt all the silver/stainless including the tailpipes needed to go.

Found it easy to remove the lower valance & skid plate to color match (almost perfectly) the valance and black out the skid plate. Also added the 3 signature ‘Raptor’ lights into the grill which Ford should’ve never omitted from the Ranger grill in the first place.

For performance and to add black exhaust tips there’s options such as Borla for a complete exhaust system from the cats back. All stainless, keeps the factory hangers, keeps the factory exhaust servos (so you retain those 4 exhaust settings on the steering wheel), and exits with polished black tips that dynamically change the look of the truck for the better at the rear. Sounds mean as hell to boot. Simple to do yourself. Did it on ramps in the driveway in an afternoon. Zero issues since my truck was new - zero corrosion or stubborn bolts. Opens the truck up even more once I added the exhaust with the Ford Pro-Cal tune. Since those two upgrades I’ve added an oversized intercooler & aluminum charge pipe kit from the turbos to the intercoolers. Really sings now!

Hope that gives ya some stuff to think about. Enjoy your RR! But if you’re like a lot of us…..you’ll start changing stuff before it even gets its 1st oil change.

I couldn’t agree with you more. I was going between sand and white. I love the sand with all black accents. This is awesome.

Wanted to share the update. I leveled it out and had the dealer paint match the fenders as well as paint the silver part of the bumper and powder coat the skid plate. I’m so happy with the way it all

Damn! Looks good! Haven’t seen the wheel arch moldings color matched on the Raptor before. Do you have any other pictures of the sides of your truck? Looks like it turned out well.
