Thoughts on extended warranties?

Do you think the pricing is the same regardless of when you buy the esp just so it is within that time/mileage frame? Unlike life insurance the price goes up as you age.

Prices go up every year so the longer you wait the more you'll pay in general. You'll pay less in the first 12k miles and 12 months.

Some of them also do sales around the holidays if you're price shopping.

Only extended warranties I have ever bought or considered buying have been OEM extended warranties. I also insist on $0 deductible extended warranties.

That way you don't get popped for another deductible charge every time they fail to find or fix the problem.
