Hey RR folks — got a Muslogy cargo net for Christmas and tried installing it the other day. Ran into an issue: they included 2 upper eye bolts and only 1 lower, but that part’s fine since I already had lower ones. The problem is the upper bolts are marked M6, and I cannot get them to thread into the factory holes.

I’ve got the factory spray‑in bedliner, so I’m wondering if that’s what’s blocking the threads. Can anyone confirm if those holes are actually M6, or if I should be using a different size? This is on a 2025 USA‑spec RR. I scraped some bedliner out with a knife, but the driver side still won’t grab threads, and now I’m not sure if the passenger side was actually threading or just biting into the liner.

Appreciate any insight.

All the holes in the bed are either M6x1.0 or M8x1.25. If the M6 eye bolts are close to fitting but not threading in, it probably is just that there is some bedliner in the threads. You can chase the threads with a tap or potentially use a small 90deg pick to try and scrape them clean. If you get desperate, you can cut a small groove through the threads of one of your eye bolts with a Dremel/grinder and turn it into a makeshift tap.

Its probably the liner over spray. Try using a blow dryer to heat up the hole and it might be enough to thread in the new bolt.

Dumb question, but would something like this (or even getting a bolt to thread in) potentially damage the bedliner inside the threaded hole and let rust in over time?

they are suppose to tape off the holes before they spray, to keep the liner out of them. I got lucky and who ever did my factory liner, took the time to do it right.

I don't think it will be an issue, others have drop in and the holes are exposed.
