Spent some time lurking, is there a definite list of what tonneau covers work with the cmrs? I was leaning towards the X4ts as I want a to put a tslot rack eventually.
from what I know the X4ts does not work with a the cmrs. Is there a word around?

I can't respond to your exact question, but I did install a cover and the cargo management system. Here is the thread: https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/threads/tonneau-cover-with-rangers-cargo-management-system.21110/

The main reason why one cover will or will not work will be the way the cover mounts to the truck. Any cover that has a C-Clamp that mounts under the bedrails won't work. Covers like the, UnderCover Ultra Flex Hard Folding Cover that I used, mount with bolts and nuts through/ behind the bedrails. So those types of covers will allow the cargo management rails to be mount flush with the bottom of the bedrail.

I bought and installed the Cargo Management Rails and this tonneau cover from Accessories.Ford.com for points:
VR1WZ99501A42X No longer available, but here's the current version:
https://www.ford.com/product/hard-r...y-realtruck-advantage-for-5ft-bed-p4000219924
If you don't want the Ford branded tonneau, I'm sure that @RealTruck could give you their product SKU.

If you're installing both the cargo management rails and the tonneau cover yourself as I did, read through both instruction sets throroughly a couple of times and plan it out. There are things you'll have to do for one that will get in the way of doing the other if you complete one of the installs first.
I installed the cargo management rails and then got the tonneau and then had to partially uninstall the rails. to install the tonneau.

We haven't tested this combo specifically, but if you look at this image below, you can see where the clamps line up. They're fairly flush with the bottom of the bed rail, so it really shouldn't be an issue for the RealTruck BAK Revolver X4 TS Hard Roll-Up Tonneau Cover w/ T-Slot Rails to install with the factory cargo management system.

The problem I ran into was the bracket at the front of the cargo bed that holds in the front of the rail occupies the same bolt holes as the bracket for the cargo management rail, but that once I'd figured that out, it was no problem to loosen the bolts, mount the tonneau on top, and retighten the bolts.
In retrospect it wasn't that big of a deal but there was a lot of swearing at the time.
Speaking of all this, would it be possible to retrofit my tonneau cover with t-slot rails, or would I need an entirely new tonneau cover?

Since it's a Ford branded cover, I'm not too sure. The specifics of the cover differ from our aftermarket model.
