It was a productive weekend for my truck. On Friday I was able to get all four doors sound deadened and install my amber DRL's. Then on Monday I did the roof sound deadening, got my rear dash cam wiring ran and my yellow chase lights wired.

Overall the sound deadening install was simple. The doors are a piece of cake. The headliner isn't bad once you have everything removed. The toughest part was getting the two rear headliner clips back in on reassembly.

I will say the sound deadening is worth the effort. The doors sound solid when you close them and the cabin is much quieter on the road while driving.

The DRL's were not bad at all with the proper tools. I used a flex 1/4 inch bit holder and I was able to get everything out after removing the front wheels and pulling the fender liners back.

Not sure what the truck needs next. Maybe a new set of wheels haha.

Today my buddy and I hardwired my MXT575 and Starlink Mini. The radio is under the front seat for now and we put the Ethernet port for the mic in the dash.

I’m going to get a little extension for the starlink cable when I am using it.

First time on some trails in South Jersey yesterday. I got stuck in the first mud hole... The ruts were deeper than expected haha. Only time I needed to get pulled out. Super fun even though most of the trails are just sand.

Nice looking ride and some cool projects along the way....

A question for you on the sound deadening since I have seen quite a few videos & threads (thumbnails and titles actually since I haven't watched or read any, and guess I should) and was curious as to what the reference point is on adding the extra material? My RR is probably the most quiet vehicle we have compared to my wife's 2016 CRV and my 2001 Forester & 2003 Jeep TJ...... But now thinking back to your comment about how the doors sound when you close them does remind me of how riding in a friends Ranger Rover Autobiography feels.

Anyway, cool thread and will be checking it out as it progresses.

The main reason I did the SD was the roof. When it would rain it sounded like a tin can inside the cabin. In a german luxury car you don't really get that sound so that is what I was after. Also the road/wind noise is significantly reduced. Cruising on the highway is much nicer and easier to talk to people inside the truck.

German luxury car... Say no more! I re-read and looked at your pictures some more and can definitely see where things can be improved.
