I believe that was a model year change not a trim level change. Just make sure it’s made specifically for a MY 26 ranger

I prefer the soft tri-fold ones. I liked the Extang Trifecta Signature I had on my 5G, but I found another brand on Amazon for $150. Looked at the listing again this morning and it was at $250. Good thing I ordered it last night. Not expecting the quality of the Extang, but it had good enough reviews to give it a try.

Did I install BAK X4S incorrectly? The directions say to align the vinyl cover with the front of the bed but if I do that then there is a large gap at the tailgate. So I did my best to align the tail since I the flappy part at the front covers just fine. Also, I could not get it to be perfectly even, maybe a manufacturing issue (truck or cover). Also, the little metal bed bumper that aligns the cover rails sits quite high - less than half of it actually touches the front of the bed (the part that makes it look like its fully touching is the foam weather stripping that comes with the X4S).

to me, it looks fine. its not like people are going to be coming and looking and talking about it when you are not looking. it looks decently straight for someone installing it in the driveway by themselves.

i feel like the way you aligned the back works the best since the front is filled by the foam and you don;t actually want the cover rubbing the back of the cabin because you will get wear marks from the movement of hte bed versus the cab over time

Thanks! Yeah, I did install it myself in my driveway.

I guess, I just expected it to fit perfectly for $1379+tax. I think if it was a little longer, maybe .5 to 1 inch longer it would cover the tailgate and bulkhead. Also, the vinyl cover that sits on the tailgate should be rounded so it fits the tailgate design properly.

those square corners are common on covers and bother me too since he bed isn't square anymore. my roll up tonneau is the same way and i bet the hard tri fold i just ordered gets here and is the same way.

i like the way yours looks and hope my trifold looks similar.
