Looks awesome with that Velocity Blue!
I hope we were quick enough at resolving your fitment concerns. Let me know if there's anything else I can help with or product insights I can offer.

Did I install BAK X4S incorrectly? The directions say to align the vinyl cover with the front of the bed but if I do that then there is a large gap at the tailgate. So I did my best to align the tail since I the flappy part at the front covers just fine. Also, I could not get it to be perfectly even, maybe a manufacturing issue (truck or cover). Also, the little metal bed bumper that aligns the cover rails sits quite high - less than half of it actually touches the front of the bed (the part that makes it look like its fully touching is the foam weather stripping that comes with the X4S).

I had some similar issues and here are a few things to try.
1. Leaving the rails as-is, can you loosen the cover and slide it back slightly to close the gap? If you slide it back too much the actuator levers won't lock the cover, but there should be a little adjustment room here. I think this could fix the lack of coverage at the tailgate.
2. I put some small spacers between the front rail "bumpers" and the bed. This shifted the rails back a little bit (maybe .25-.5"). That left the rails overhanging the bed side a little and I used a dremel to round them off. Your rails already look pretty far back, so this might not be your issue.

Hope you can get it worked out.

The resolution is that our instruction sheet could be a little more clear. There's a step that says to align the front edge of the cover with the front edge of the rail, but it doesn't indicate that it's a temporary positioning, like a starting point for alignment. Later it does say to push the cover to the tailgate, so that the seal makes contact, but I can see where that could cause confusion.
We worked through the steps in the DM's. The cover is installed correctly, the seals are making contact where they should, and the cover is working perfectly! I also sent the feedback to our product team and engineering department. :)
Anytime you guys have any installation questions, or need any product insights, let us know. We have a dedicated forum team that's here to be helpful!

We got everything sorted, but I really appreciate you suggesting possible solutions.
Cheers!

I'm having the same issue with my BAK X4S where the cover does not cover the tailgate enough, leaving a trough to collect water. I have been looking at h shaped gaskets to attach to tonneau top and having the top of the h cover the gap on the tailgate.

I know that most people aren't expecting a hermetic seal, especially at a point where both the tailgate and the cover open and close against it. I think this illustration out of the Revolver instruction sheet shows what the engineers were going for. In my experience, you have to place a seal where it doesn't receive abrasive wear so that it gets damaged over time, or comes off. Hope that's helpful!

I got the Worksport AL4. The thing is solid all the way around. I can walk across it. No rubber flaps on the sides. Doesn't need them. Also doesn't need any drain hoses. Fits perfectly from the front edge of the bed to the tailgate. Have almost full access to the bed when it's flipped up. Manufactured just down the road from me. (why I checked it out). Glad I did.

Installed my $150 Autosaver88 soft tri-fold today. Overall I am very satisfied with the quality. It fit perfectly aside from one problem. The bulkhead seal that came on it is very thick. Too thick. I think it was intended for previous years where the height difference between the sides and the bulkhead was significant. But they did include soft foam weather strip that was about half the thickness. So I cut off the attached seal, stuck the foam seal on the bulkhead and it worked great. Gap with the original attached seal shown.

It fits perfectly, leaks very little, and has been fantastic so far. Very, very, versatile!!!

I installed it correctly. No resolution. This is just how the BAK X4S fits a 2025 RR.
Its exactly how my 2024 fit. And why I went back to a sentry ct on my 2026 RRaptor. No fitment issues with it and just as versatile and tough.
