Went to the local truck accessory shop today and was looking at different covers. I was disappointed that they have to drill holes for the drain tubes, (but it makes sense). He showed me where they would drill. The oblong plastic plug in each lower corner.
Then we talked about the white fiber pad between the bed and cab. He said he had never seen one like that.
I saw one that I liked, an Ultra flex but it doesn’t look they have one for the 2024.
Kinda felt like I had more questions after I left….

I ordered a lowmax. I chose it because it does not have a foam core, or need for drain tube. Apparently the covers with a foam core absorb moisture after time and become really heavy.

Where they are drilling though is the natural drill point.

My local shop recommended the Lomax. They said they have had the least amount of trouble compared to other brands. No need to drill any holes and it fits nice and flat. It is made of aluminum panels which I prefer over composites.

Just installed Bak Revolver x4ts. No drilling and custom mounts just for RR. Fits really nice and no drain tubes.

I got the Bakflip mx4, super durable and light, low profile and flips all the way up so you get full use of bed still. I love it - has one on my last truck too. No drilling needed, super easy to assemble

Installed my LOMAX today. I picked this brand based on several things but I really like that it tapers to the bed of the Ranger Raptor. The majority of covers have a slight portion that extends beyond the bed line which doesn’t sit well with me. One of the electric brands has one with an exceptional fit but is priced more than I wanted to spend and wasn’t available yet. Pics for reference and hope it helps someone decide that goes down this path.

Does it impede your view out the back window at all when it's not in use?

Has anybody that installed the X4S or the X4TS “contoured” the rails at the back of the box so they don’t stick out like in these pictures? I just installed mine this morning and I knew it would look like that but I do think I will do some “shaping” somehow. My experience has been that it doesn’t fit perfectly and I could only use one bolt at the front of the cover to secure it to the box. It looks really good but a few improvements needed

Looks great! I just ordered one of these. Did it come with 6 or 8 clamps? Just trying to figure out how it connects under the plastic bed rail covers?

I used Lomax (Agricover) tri-fold on my earlier GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 for three years. Easy to install, good quality, sturdy, and held up to hot summers in AZ. Also to easy to remove if I needed to the entire bed. I spoke to them and they do have covers ready to for RRs.
