I'm also living here in the Golden State but I have a '25 RR and you are spot-on regarding the CARB approvals for the Ford Pro-Cal tune. The '25 model year approval was finalized in late October 2025 and I had it installed in my RR maybe a month or so later.I looked into a Ford Performance tuner Here in Commiefornia I can't do that for my 2026
It's the same motor
- For US & Canada Vehicles Only
- 2024 50-state approved. California C.A.R.B. EO#: D-431-12
- 2025 50-state approved. C.A.R.B. EO#: D-431-17
- 2026 for non-California vehicles only
If the '24 and '25 model years are any indication, Ford will almost certainly submit and/or likely already has already submitted the 2026 model year CARB application and CARB approval is all but guaranteed as nothing has changed for '26.
It is definitely worth the wait in my opinion as it is not only an amazing dollar per hp and torque value proposition, but it also really smooths out the 10R60 and its shift points in a way that takes an already great driving truck to yet another level of refinement and smoothness.
