Shipped on the 29th I think. Delivered shows the 30th. I'm in east central Illinois. Maybe 4 hours from the factory if you go directly there without any other stops. I went and sat in it today. They're putting in a J braces next week, taking it to get my topper (that's been sitting since last November), than ceramic coat the entire thing. I'll be gone so I won't take delivery until week of 9/08.

I realize that my Genesis will only be declining in value but paying list for the last vehicle off the line in any model year is not smart business sense either. The ‘24’s will be starting to get marked down as the ‘25’s come rolling in.

The other variable you might want to consider is a $3K price increase rumor I keep seeing in a couple of Ranger forums.

So my 2.7 L Lariat showed up on Thursday. It's a great looking truck in Blue with the chrome package and most every option. Sadly I rejected it. It wasn't for the trade allowance as the dealer was more than fair with me on that end. It was just that from a practical standpoint the truck won't work for us. We often have to take my wife's parents, both in their 80's, with us. They are not hesitant at all to let us know when they are uncomfortable and those back seats would be a source of constant complaints. So we made the painful decision to hold off and not take the Ranger. Unless there is a design change in the back seats I don't see a Ranger in our future. That's sad because I really like the truck. It's the right size for us.....other than the back seat. As for a second vehicle to take the in-laws, that's my wife's Rav 4 which isn't exactly the most comfortable or roomy vehicle out there.

So if anyone out there is looking for a Blue Ranger Lariat with the 2.7L and fully loaded, there is one available at West Herr Ford in Hamburg, NY. Just ask for Tony Sorrentino.

All that waiting and anticipation for naught. How could you not know in advance that your in-laws would kibosh the deal?

They didn't really kibosh the deal, we did. We could have taken the truck but when contemplated taking the in-laws to see their son in Charlotte we didn't think we could handle the 700 miles of complaining. The possibility of them being left beside the road on either I-79 or I-77 would have been very strong. It was just one of those "Upon Further Review" moments where we opted for reality.

Thanks Fred. As the old saying goes, "It do suck" but there's not much I can do about it other than grin and bear it!
