I got a box from tripleAliners today.
That means its test fit day again!!
There actually came two new items in here so i pulled them out and laid them in the sun to smooth out.
So the tailgate mat (updated version)and their hood rock guard came in that box, and a hand written note saying thanks. Thats very nice, hand written.
This post will be about the tailgate mat and how it fits and feels.
If you have a spray in bed liner, you need to pick the liner out of the bolts that hold the panel on the tailgate, those little torx head screws.
I used an ice pick and it worked pretty awesomely.
They appear to be a t20.
The screws leave little white spots where you can see the plastic they screw into once you remove them.
Lay the new tailgate mat out and make sure the holes are aligned over where the screws came out. The mat is still kind of cool so i had to kind of stretch it out and start in the middle, working outwards on the screw holes and they all aligned perfectly. I pulled the edges out and started the screws by hand and once they were all started, i zipped them down with the screw gun.
This thing fitd perfectly and, of course, matches the TripleAliners bed mat like they were made for each other.
All the edges line up great!
This is a mod i am particularly happy about because i already scratched my tailgate a few times so this will protect from any more scratches.
Thank you to @TripleAliners for this mat. I am very happy with how it looks and fits.
