Do any of you have a K&N airfilter I got a bump up in MPG after we put one in. No tune in traffic avg 18.4 to 19. No traffic under 60 have seen over 20
I put a BMC filter in early on. Never noticed if it did anything or not.

It took a couple hundred miles before we started noticing a change

Winter crap gas is here. I went from ~ 350 miles per tank to anywhere from 310-320 per tank in the last 2 weeks. Post tune in the first two weeks post flash I went from ~18+ MPG in raptor mode (Sport, Sport suspension, Sport steering, Baja exhaust) down high 16's. This is 36miles highway each way in the boston area where speeds range from 0mph to 90mph. Shortly after, I was back in the mid 18's. Now if i leave it in normal, no changes, disable auto stop, I can kiss mid 20mpg on a commute with no traffic (lol). My around town still is between 14-high 16's

OP - did you have the same wheel & tire combo before the tune? Youre probably aware that bigger (heavier) wheels & tires = more rotating mass. I live in North Georgia where there are virtually no flat roads. No big mountains, but lots of short, steep, punchy climbs Virtually everywhere I go. My ”mixed” mileage is 15-15.5, my highway mileage is high 19’s on an 80mile (downhill) drive to ATL and 18.5 on the return. Truck has factory everything and I’m generally going the speed limit. Always run 93 octane & “normal” drive mode.

Yup, same wheels and tires. Actually the new wheels are lighter than the OEM wheels and still using OEM BFG tires.

I am not sure if it is the Ford tune or just my setup in general, but my truck seems to be getting better mileage around town then on the highway.
Just got back from a 400 mile road trip, yes high winds at time those were pushing north of 20 mph head winds and was seeing my mileage at 80-90 mph falling into the 11-12 mpg range.

I do have 10 ply 34" tires, toolboxes, tools, and headache rack none of which were good adds for helping with mpg. My best mileage was the day I bought it and drove it 4 hours home 100% showroom stock.

Had lower wind speeds on the return trip and had a slight tail wind on part of it.

This truck gets almost the exact same mileage as my RAM TRX got.
I had a 2.7L EB in 2 dr Bronco as well, yet to ever see anything Eco about an Ecoboost.

On that Recent trip some of my employees were in one of my company F150 trucks which are Crew cab 6.5 bed 4x4 XLT 2022/23 model 5.0L v8s we were on the same trip same road same time they were maybe 30 min ahead of me , and that 5.0L v8 F150 truck averaged 18.2 running low 80 mph range on the interstate where I was running mid 80s in terms of speed.

I have no doubt that the Ford 5.0L is more efficient in the real world then any of these EcoBoost V6 motors. I so very much wish Ford offered the 5.0L in the RR.

If they offered the 5.0 as a Ranger Raptor "R", Id be all in.

Winter blend fuel offers less performance and poorer fuel economy. I have seen as much as 4 mpg drop every winter, in different vehicles.

However, mpg varies to frequently; due primarily to throttle applications, air density and traffic. None however with this tune which is considered mild or stage one.???

I dont know what it is, but I have lost 2mpg average since installing the tune. This is driving it on my daily commute like normal. Not racing from every light. Actually milking the throttle to try to help it out.

I went from an average of 16.4mpg before the tune to 14.5mpg after the tune. I could understand if Im romping on it then the MPG would drop significantly. But Im not, Im driving the same way as before the tune. Same commute, same roads, same speeds.

Also, since the tune, the avg MPG on the center screen is never right. It was on the money before the tune every time I filled up. Now it reads 1MPG average too high.
Seen mixed results here and YouTube. Some people claim close to 20MPG while others claim lower than 16mpg....

I have no tune and no lead foot and can not get above 15.5mpg.

That's awesome cruising at those speeds, so foreign to me in NC. And it's ironic, cruising at 85 with "Take it Easy" playing. AND cruising at 88 listening to "Born Free".....love it.

When I'm driving that fast (on a closed course) my eyes are like a radar scanning for anything that resembles trouble. 20 over here results in a lot less freedom.

Yea, those 80+ mph interstate speeds are pretty common around here, I wasn't not flying by other vehicles. Just keeping with the pace of traffic mostly.

Take quick note in the lower right-hand corner of my gauge cluster pics is the posted speed limit of 80 mph when I was running 85 or 88.
I have my RR programed to run the smart cruise at 8 mph over, which really works it seems to read the speed signs perfectly.

I was only running 5-8mph over.

Which 5-10 mph over posted limits is pretty common around these parts.

Jumping in here.

Fortunately/unfortunately I had the tune installed before I took delivery of my RR. It had 36 miles showing 6.7 MPG. I've got just under 1500 on it now and it's at 14.0 combined. Cruise control at highway speeds, 70-75 going to Canada land, it gets no more than 17 in normal and 2H. Only around town cruising at 40-45 does it see anything over 20MPG.

Wheels were upgraded to the Method/Ford Performance bead grips for the Bronco, tires are the stock BFGS.

I will say that I am not shy about putting my foot into it occasionally, but my 2016 SHO was getting 30 highway and 17 city and I drove that thing hard pretty much everywhere.

Did you consider re installing the stock tune and experiment if mpg's changes you might narrow it down to either the fuel or tune itself.

Also check out these fuel places by your area in So. Jersey;
https://www.pure-gas.org/ (click on the NJ).
Yeah, I actually have thought about doing that next full tank.

I fill up at the same exact pump at the exact same station every time. So I know that much is consistent.

I just added a forum link about fuel who would though a forum on fuel lol.

Look at Google Earth street view for the station on Rt 206 Shamong Twp they have separate pumps pricey though depending when that pic view was taken.
