Tune decisions

Currently running the FPT and planning to move to Goose or ZFG. Debating on whether I add the S&B intake and Turbosmart IC and then get a custom tune or just get the tune. Did anyone notice much from their intake and IC or is the tune mostly the big change?

the intercooler is just going to keep heatsoak at bay longer, not gain you more hp. the intake, negligible hp versus stock, on anything i have ever considered it on and read about.

the tune is going to be the biggest power modder until you start going for turbos and bigger items like that

I went with EMS tuning for the lifetime tune this means anytime i change anything like intercooler,air intakes, exhaust the update to the tune is free. Just got my hp tuner today and he will also be doing dyno testing of parts from different 3rd party company's.

I plan to go Livernois soon. I have FP already, which Livernois developed with them, and they include lifetime updates in the cost. I have seen their name on many Ford forums over the years.

I remember Livernois from my old Mustang days, they were great. I didn’t know they had tunes for the RR. Looking at their site, the tune looks great. They adjust practically everything and include a tow tune for $699. Seems like the best choice. What am I missing?

I have ZFG tune and it's night and day better than procal. I dropped .40 in the 1/ 8 and gain 4 mph. Also mpg was 15.6 now it's 16.3 or 16.5
