Checked my points to get in on the Ford accessories Black Friday special and my 31,000 Ford pass reward points were gone. Seems the dealer cashed them in, it says "Switch to Maintenance Plan" I did not, nor would I have agreed to this. I never received any notice of a purchase, and I can't find out what it's for. I bought a plan for $100 good for 3 oil changes and denied everything else they tried to get me to buy when I signed the paperwork on 10/7/25. The points were redeemed 1 week later without me noticing, I had no interactions with the dealer after I bought it so there's no way I agreed to it.

I'm not happy, my wife is a Ford Corporate employee so if the dealer gives me an crap we know who to call. If they can't give me back my points by Monday they owe me the face value of the points and 25% off parts that are on sale now.

Anyone else have this happen, or know what service plan costs exactly 31,000 points? The fact it's all my points with no balance remaining or owed is really odd too.

Did your wife maybe get the plan on her vehicle? My points disappeared 58k of them. After investigation it was my son who unknowingly used them. Different dealer,Different car. He was very happy he didn't have to pay for all the service he had done.

Just found out the points were part of the 3 oil changes for $100, so really it costs $280? ($100 plus 31,000 points, which seem too rounded of a number). I was never told this, in fact the finance guy convinced me that it was only $100, and how much does oil cost? I do all my oil changes so no way I would have agreed if this plan took my points. Extremely deceptive practice by Superior Ford in Plymouth MN. Now I have to wait for a manager to get back to me. Anyone want to bet it will be next week after the black Friday sale?

I spoke to the dealership manager. He insisted the forms I signed stated my points would be used. It got a little heated on my end, but he agreed to reinstate my 31,000 points (which were done while I was still on the phone) and send me a check for $100 and cancel my plan. Today I looked at all the forms I signed which include the disputed maintenance plan purchase application and it does NOT mention any points, so they clearly lied. There is no way they mistakenly used points for the $100 price as 31,000 points is $155. It sure looks like they stole them, which makes me wonder who else they might have done this to and never noticed.

My wife and I have bought at least 10 new Ford vehicles and this is by far the most outrageous act by a dealer I have ever seen.

Check your points and purchase/use history folks.

Here's how they get you, see attached pics. The maintenance plan says total purchase price $100 which any reasonable person would think is the total cost. Right at the end of signing a pile of documents they slipped in the FordPass Rewards (in large font) alternative offer form (tiny font) I was told this was to acknowledge receipt of my points. That was the lie. The really fine print says "discount certificate in place of Complimentary Maintenance Points." Never heard of this before, and it's not on any other form. It also says these points may appear in my FordPass account, so even if you read this you'd think those are different than the FordPass points which are not just for maintenance?

I like to think I'm careful so I'm more upset at myself for getting scammed. However I know dealers do the hard sell (which is legit) but I trust they won't outright lie to me. Even though they gave me back my points and $ I won't stand for that. I filed a complaint with Ford Dearborn (800) 392-3673.

Sorry that happened. I had them offer this service for me too and I declined it saying I want the points for my own needs since I change my own oil. My salesman wasn't pushy at all luckily.
I never sign up for maintenance plans because I can change oil, oil filters, rotate tires, change air filters, cabin filters, brake pads, and brake discs all on my own. That's 90% of what regular service is, and many people don't do half of this on their own.

I do all those things myself too. What they charge for an oil change is criminal in the first place but it's winter and I got lazy. 3 oil changes plus tire rotations for $33 each? I took the bait. Like they say if it sounds too good to be true...
