Pretty sure #26 is always on. I can confirm later.

Here's what I used.

The shaving needed was the fuse tap itself. If you pull a fuse out and compare it to the fuse tap, you'll see the difference and should hopefully be able to tell what needs shaved. Couple minutes with a dremel or a razor blade will fix the fuse tap.

I'll also try to take a picture of my actual fuse box to help eliminate confusion.

It's the channeling of the wiring that Im curious about - you got a lot of tools out there and electrical panel out. Not that confident in my electrical skills so I'll pay someone to take ownership on the job. Just hoping that while my back is turned they don't break anything and quickly hot glue it back together.
I used to do everything myself, but multiple back surgeries and 26 screws later, I'm more inclined to pay someone.

Plus, the older I get, the more my confidence in my skills vs new vehicles erodes.

Same with me - at 66 years old I prefer to let someone else take ownership of any job and hold them accountable

I am contemplating the same thing with doing the J braces myself. I really don't want to get into too much, but on the other hand, I know it is being done correctly if I do it. Having worked as an auto tech in a Chevrolet dealership for a while WAY back in the 1900's (LOL), I know there is a BIG difference in the quality of work you get done depending upon the tech doing it. I would like to ensure that the cuts are clean, that they get properly painted to stop rust, the bolts are tight, and check for other rust or issues while under there. I plan to keep this truck for a long time and would like to ensure it is all done correctly. So, the dilemma...

The bed is aluminum. Why would it rust? To be clear the instructions do not call for any rust protector after making the cuts.

"Magnet stuck to everything except the hood, front bumper, and gas cap cover. It’s worth noting that the chief engineer in one of the press videos says the tailgate is steel but is lightened by use of a torsion bar."
